PhotoIf you want to be rich, there is a simple way to help get there slowly and without the grandiose promises made by some get-rich-quick artists. With simple grade school math and a lot of time, you too can accumulate enough money to, if not become rich, help increase your net worth. Simply put, spend less money than you earn. Then, put that money away to potentially grow and help you meet future financial goals.

Here are a few simple suggestions and hypothetical illustrations of how a little can go a long way:

Remember to do something with these savings. Contribute more to your company 401(k) plan, put money into an IRA or save at your bank, but work to help your money potentially grow into the future.
